MARCH 2025 PARTNER LETTER

Prophetic Vision

(Proverbs 29:18, ESV) "Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint

Dear NCTC Partners,

In this March Partner Letter, I would like to share about the importance of prophetic vision.

(Proverbs 29:18, ESV) "Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint..."

In the ESV translation, the word "vision" is translated as "prophetic vision."

God gives us prophetic vision and leads our lives through it. But what exactly is prophetic vision?

The dictionary defines "vision" as "a conception or mental image of the future, a blueprint, or an inner sight." Even unbelievers—individuals, organizations, corporations, and nations—have visions, meaning a blueprint for the future. But how does prophetic vision in the Bible differ from the general concept of vision?

Prophetic vision is not a self-made plan for the future, but rather a divine destiny preordained by God before the foundation of the world. It is God’s blueprint for our lives, drawn from His heart.

God operates in the spiritual realm, which is not limited by time or space. That is why our future is not "the future" to God—He has already seen and completed everything. In the spiritual realm, when God created the world, He finished all things. This is why the book of Hebrews 4 tells us that just as God rested from His works, we who believe must enter into His rest. (To enter into rest by faith means to recognize that what God has already accomplished in the spiritual realm is not merely a future hope, but a present reality.)

(Hebrews 4:3-4, 10, NKJV)

3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works.”

10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Prophetic Vision in the Lives of Biblical Figures

Let’s look at some examples from the Bible.

In the spiritual realm, which is not constrained by time and space, God had already created:

  • Abraham as the father of many nations,

  • Joseph as the prime minister of Egypt,

  • Joshua as the one who would conquer Jericho,

  • Gideon as a mighty man of valor who would deliver Israel from the Midianites.

However, even though God had already determined these things in the spiritual realm, they could only manifest in the physical world through the faith of each person, within the constraints of time and space.

What is history to us today was the future for Abraham, Joseph, Joshua, and Gideon when they received the prophetic vision from God. God had already established a prophetic vision for them before the foundation of the world.

  • To Joseph, God gave a prophetic dream in which his family bowed before him.

  • To Abraham, God declared, “I have made you a father of many nations.”

  • To Joshua, God said, “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.”

  • To Gideon, God called him, “Mighty man of valor,” even when he was hiding in fear.

In each of these cases, God spoke of things that had not yet happened as though they already had. That is why the Apostle Paul said that Abraham believed in "God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did." (Romans 4:17, NKJV)

"As it is written, 'I have made you a father of many nations' in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did."

Why does God call things that do not exist as though they do?

Because in the spiritual realm, they already exist! Even if something has not yet manifested in the physical world, God had already created and completed it before the foundation of the world. That is why God gives us His blueprint in the form of prophetic vision, planting its seed in our hearts. By receiving and embracing prophetic vision, we participate in manifesting what already exists in the spiritual realm into the physical world.

(Acts 2:17, NKJV) "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams."

(Romans 8:29-30, NKJV) 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

The Holy Spirit has come to give us prophetic vision, which is directly connected to God’s predestined plan for our lives.

Therefore, our focus should not be on striving to make things happen, but rather on receiving prophetic vision, embracing it, and seeing ourselves as God already sees us—as if it has already been fulfilled!

During this month of March, I encourage you to seek the Holy Spirit for prophetic vision and spend time meditating on it. As you do, you will witness the Holy Spirit moving powerfully, causing your life to unfold at a completely new level.

"Heavenly Father,

I thank You for giving prophetic vision to the NCTC partners this month—through dreams, prophecy,

visions, and the Word—so that the blueprint in Your heart may be firmly planted in their spirits.

I also pray for the seeds of financial support sown by our partners into NCTC’s ministry.

Jesus said, 'Anyone who has left houses or lands for My sake and the Gospel’s will receive a hundredfold

in this life.’ He also said, ‘Ask, and it will be given to you.’

Therefore, I declare and proclaim a hundredfold harvest over the seeds sown by our partners!

We do not live according to the laws of this world, but by the laws of Kingdom finances!

Thank You, Lord, for opening our eyes to see the provision and abundance

that is already connected to Your Kingdom economy.

2025 is the year of great expansion! Thank You for expanding our prophetic vision!”

In Jesus Name Amen!

Sincerely,

NCTC Pastor John K. Cho and Paula Kim
